Art of the Avocado + Friends (Lime & Onion)

6 Sessions, Friday from 10am-12pm March 23rd-April 27th//Interdisciplinary Arts Workshop

In this exploratory interdisciplinary arts workshop series, artists will engage deep creative research processes investigating a few kitchen ingredients.  Three kitchen ingredients are the starting point that lead us from: food and medicine making, natural dyeing, alternative printing, pattern creation, book arts, creative writing, sewing, life drawing and more.  Enjoy a sensory rich art making experience, open to all creative people.

Cost: $240/instar-member/ $260/non-member + $25 materials fee (1 need based scholarship available)

Dawn Breeze//founder and director of Instar Lodge, is a creativity advocate, change agent, and internationally awarded interdisciplinary artist based in Germantown, NY and holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a focus on Art Education and Socially Engaged Art from Goddard College. With over six years of professional experience in arts education, her roster of clients ranges from k-8 schools to dual diagnosis treatment centers, leadership programs and much more. Her teaching practice includes program development, curriculum design, and teacher training. Her ongoing creativity curriculum, Creativity + Courage™, is a series of participatory workshops throughout New England for institutions, corporations, and recovery programs. Breeze is committed to building community around creativity.
