Tailspinning: become out of control
We know that creativity lies in the mystery of willfully giving up control and stepping or spinning into the unknown. In this wild and wooly writing group, we generate new work, through evocative and unpredictable prompts. We spin tails from places of loss of control-- capturing the words that fly by, wielding them in and onto the page!
This is a writing group for writers of all types (prose, poetry, hybrid, etc.) who want to develop new creative pieces in a supportive collective environment. Each week we will do timed free-writing in response to prompts that we collectively have created which will be chosen at random from the hat each week. There will be time given in each session for sharing such work for feedback.
Instar Lodge asks for registered participants to each contribute towards the costs of using the space for the eight Tailspinning gatherings, there are no fees paid to Tailspinning facilitators. Below are the tiered costs depending on member status and financial ability.
*Please note : We offer our programs at rates that makes it possible to cover our costs and provide many FREE public programs. We ask non-members to pay full price unless there is no other way to attend. We will not turn away a participant for lack of funds. If you cannot meet these tiers please send an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Give a Hand: Help us establish equity in our programming. Any amount over regular tier is a fully tax reductable donation.
