A plant, especially a seedling, that is growing wild or has escaped from cultivation.
In this immersive hands on art workshop we will work at cultivating the wildness of each child’s individual artistic voice—not to be tamed but rather to fortify its own natural dynamic pattern, and growth direction. Through a variety of playful and thought provoking lessons, individual projects and open studio sessions, we will foster and strengthen the creative spark that wants to speak through your child, whether it’s a whisper or a shout, whether it’s a poem or a painting, we will help your child find delight in their own artistic becoming. This is an advanced arts workshop and is open to children who have already demonstrated a strong interest and inclination towards the arts.
Dawn Breeze is the artist founder and director of Instar Lodge, she is also an internationally represented artist, living in Germantown, NY. Her interdisciplinary portfolio has won her recognition in experimental film, painting, installation and socially engaged art.
Breeze designed and currently leads the progressive arts program at the Liberi School in Hudson, NY titled Throwing Seeds. Throwing Seeds is rooted in the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley and its rich local art history, as well as current contemporary art culture. Breeze designed Throwing Seeds as an offshoot from her Creativity + Courage™ adult arts based workshops. Breeze created Creativity + Courage™ in 2011 as an expressive arts program for individuals in recovery. Breeze quickly realized the content was applicable to all people, of all ages, in pursuit of developing their unique creative voice. Since then, Breeze has successfully been leading her workshops throughout New England for individuals, institutions and corporations.
