Instar Lodge is pleased to announce our Summer Place series of FREE monthly public walking conversations on topics related to What We're Reading. This summer season, we are co-hosting this special collection with the Good Work Institute, focusing on the complexities of "place" within the Hudson Valley. Our aim and effort is to activate existing landscapes and important institutions for public learning and enchantment. Instar has partnered this season with Olana, Woodchuck Lodge, and Kites Nest. We are grateful to be able to share these walks with the support of our Instar Lodge Members; community sponsors: Otto's Market and Made + Collected; and friends: Upstate Diary and Farm Table.
Prompts for each walk are found alongside our corresponding monthly reading list [What We're Reading]. However, no prior reading or expertise is ever a prerequisite. We believe everyone always has something to contribute and learn from one another in a shared dialogue. If you know you will be in attendance, please send us a much appreciated RSVP in advance--we love to know who is coming! Last minute arrivals are also equally appreciated! Have a question? Send us an email here.

"It was refreshing to be in the company of a bunch of intelligent, graceful, wise people. I feel like I have people I can talk to one on one these days but rarely find a group who is as engaged and thoughtful."
