Announcing WOMENS WORKPLACE, a creative women’s co-working space!

Announcing WOMENS WORKPLACE, a creative women’s co-working space!

May is here and sunlight is showing up more frequently.  Perhaps the slow spring will mean a slow summer, and we will languish in long hot days into fall.  Either way, we are heating up at Instar with a month of excitement and a full summer season planned ahead!
This month in our LEX*I*CON journal we feature artist Brece Honeycutt’s  beautiful studio and reflections on what it means to be an artist.

We have an artful walk to discuss feminism, gender and nature, planned at Art Omi Memorial Day weekend, as part of our ongoing FREE Community Conversation series.

Next week we host our inaugural Rebecca Dinner.  A dinner honoring the Rebekah’s of the lodge from yesteryear and celebrating the Rebecca’s in our community now. We will discuss identity and what is inherited with a name.

This Saturday (5th) we head over to artist Melora Kuhn’s studio for a super special workshop. We will make hand built cement vases and share a picnic lunch! OH MY GOD WE ARE SO EXCITED and we still have a few spots open (register here).
We have been busy bees and have some big news! Starting in June we launch our new membership program, WOMENS WORKPLACE

Inspired by the Rebekah’s Membership Club and our Women’s Writing Room, a room made available by the day to women who want to write. We have expanded the concept into creative women’s co-working space ++++.  We will be announcing much more in the next few weeks, but we want you to join in our excitement now!

Mark your calendars for our May 19th open house, as part of theGermantown Stroll, where you can learn more and visit the open studios of amazing artist-in-residence Louise Smith and Peggy Ahwesh.
