“A love letter can be very short or it can be long; it can be literary or non-literary; it can be bright or dark, cheerful or tragic. But above all, for a love letter to be a love letter it must be sincere!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan
Join Instar Lodge in the new year for a heart-centered practice of writing love letters. This is an opportunity to set the time and space for communicating from the heart. Perhaps these letters are a collection to your children, to your unborn child, to your child-self, to your lost love, to your parent alive or deceased. Perhaps these letters will be mailed or perhaps they will stay forever in a box or put into the fireplace. This practice of love letter writing is an opportunity to honor your heart’s relationship by sharing what it needs to say.
Love Letters will meet once-a-month (second Monday) and is open to anyone. There is no facilitation, but the space and inspiration will be held by artist-mother-Hot Chicks founder Katherine Moore. Katherine will be here to keep it cozy and the tea ready.
“A true love letter can produce a transformation in the other person, and therefore in the world. But before it produces a transformation in the other person, it has to produce a transformation within us. Some letters may take the whole of our lifetime to write.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh
